Strawberries & Cherries weekend 2011

Yayyyyy.... The Strawberries and Cherries weekend is on THIS weekend.
Although I have a prier commitment  Saturday,
I will definitely be back in time for the fireworks
and we will be there all day Sunday.
I am so looking forward to it
and I will be taking HEAPS of photos.
Yes, I am FINALLY going to start posting on this blog! Ha, ha, ha...

Oh, and be sure to check out Cones & Candy on main St.
You can get a FREE sample or multiples for only 10c!

I already love this place but there's plenty of flavours that I haven't tried yet....
ummmm.... so, you know: just doing my bit for local business, lol!

If you post about this weekend or you're an involved local business;
I encourage you to share your link via comments.

Karen Dodemaide.

Bacchus Marsh Primary School is so wonderful for so many reasons
(My daughter attends there)

but what first got my attention was how beautiful it is.
The buildings, the play areas, the gardens and especially
the ART.
On every wall, in every corner.....
in every little 'nook and cranny'
of the school,
there's art.
Most of it done by the talented
(and modest)
Karen Dodemaide.

Quote:
'Ian (principal) should take the credit for the school. He is amazing. I am merely under instruction! :o) but I am glad you like it... it makes the school cheerful and bright. The child like paintings are actually children's drawings that I have reproduced. They are my fave really. SO cute and varied.'
Here are just a few images of her art...

The front fence................

The walls................

Even behind each sign................
The corridors, the toilet doors, the office........................
as I said: 'every nook and cranny'.
